This is the first in my 3 part accidentally related music trilogy. Later this week you’ll get another music video and a documentary about a musician.
This music video is hands down, far and away the most complex editing I’ve ever had to do, but I think it turned out pretty sweet. It was interesting working with a kind of three tear “puesdo-narrative”, one being the cliche images on the television set (car sales, crime investigation, Twilight zone, hospital drama) the other being robbers/suburban people and of course the most difficult, the fuzzy band stuff.
Yea, it’s a lot for a 3 minute music video.
So here it is, after many lost hours of sleep and little too much fun shooting I proudly present The Nondenoms “Escape From Hell-A”
Thanks to:
The NONDENOMS, Brian, Doug, and Kelly for totally being into my crazy idea and somehow filming that much footage in one day.
Carlos Espin for letting us rob his house
Gene Willets for the stuff at the car dealership
Matt, Katie, Chad, and Josh for acting
and extra thanks to Justin Ruckman for the editing tips and letting me do the first cut in a real editing booth.
Extra extra thanks to Matt Tyndall and Matt deCourcelle for letting us borrow the film gear!
Arlene was asking for her vase~
Good job Erik! It fits the song nicely. Just to let you know I think someone was was killed during the filming. Was it over 100 degrees that day?
